Determination of hose length

Since the lifetime of hose lines is considerably depending on the correct design and mounting, please mind the following hints:

Design:
In case of fix installed lines:
Length = 2A + 3,142 * R =
Length = 2A + x

To avoid buckling load at the connection fittings and to guarantee functioning of the hose lines, it is necassary to lay the hose ends straight.
For this, we recommend for the calculation of lengths to proceed according to the figure above. Thereby, R must be greater than the min. bend radius + ½ hose diameter.

Design:
In case of flexible installed lines:
Length = 2A + 3,142 . R =
Length = 2A + x + T

For calculating flexible installed hose lines, the same mounting hints as mentioned above, are valid. Nevertheless, in case of lifting movements the corresponding additional length "T" is to be considered.
The following table shows the minimum length (A) to be kept behind both ends of a fitting of a line.
For each complete line, measure A is to be considered two times. For elbow fittings, measure A will increase by 50 per cent.
